Historic laundry building turned live-work loft asks $1.3M on Long Island

Greenport, New York, is a bucolic, centuries-old fishing village on the North Fork of Long Island. It only has a full-time population of about 2,000, but in the summers the town swells with tourists who come to snack on local oysters, sun bathe, and sip wine in tasting rooms.

According to the New York Times, Greenport feels like a “world away” from the snazzy, top-dollar Hamptons—a more laid back cousin in the beach town family. And while Greenport still has multi-million dollar waterfront homes, the buildings are both funkier and less expensive. Take this just listed one-bedroom, one-bath artist’s loft and studio located one block off of the town’s quaint main street.
